Congratulation to Susan!
Susan made it her mission in May 2015 to lose around 15 lbs and to regain energy and strength. We met once a week for a cardio and resistance workout session and she started following the Mediterranean diet. This diet emphasizes plant based food like veggies, fruits, whole grains, legumes and nuts. After the summer, she started working out more frequently, twice or three times a week. She followed my exercise routines which changed with our weekly sessions. Susan rediscovered her love for cooking and learned quickly that food planning and preparation is the key to sticking with a healthy diet. She increased her daily water consumption, up to 64 oz and tried to sleep at least 7 hours every night. Susan lost 9 lbs in the first 2 months. She still followed the Mediterranean diet, but loosened up a bit when she socialized or had a very tempting treat in front of her. She feels so energetic with her new diet and weight loss that we increased the intensity of her workouts. She built up additional strength and increased her cardio health. She enjoys lifting heavy weights and going on long walks. As of now, she has lost 13 lbs. and 10% of her body fat. She feels that she has reached her optimal weight. She’s going into the new year full of energy, strength and looks amazing.

Don’t aim for a diet of deprivation or being skinny. Think REAL FOOD and BE ACTIVE!”
