Our bodies are made to move and if we don’t, we feel aches and pains. Low back pain is a common side effect of a sedentary lifestyle and it’s usually caused by “dormant butt syndrome”. This scientific term literally sums up what happens to your glutes when you sit on them for too long. They fall asleep and don’t know what to do when you get up, which is absorbing the impact of every step you take. If that doesn’t happen, it can affect your hips, knees or ankles. Don’t let it come that far and make it a habit to get off the chair more often. Wake up your glutes with a couple of good squeezes each time you get up, incorporate more walks in your daily routine and always take the stairs.
