I’m a firm believer that exercise should enhance your lifestyle and make you move better every day. It always catches me by surprise when I see the vast amount of muscle isolating machines in big box gyms.
If you are trying to get fit and don’t want to spend too much time in the gym go for body weight or compound exercises, like squats, lunges, dead lifts, push-ups or pull-ups which use more of your muscles and joints than machines.
There’s a place for machines if you try to strengthen specific muscles or need the support for health issues. But if you work a long day in the office, sitting on your butt and then go to the gym, using a machine that makes you sit on your butt again, you are not training your body properly.
Think of your body as a well-oiled machine that needs to use all its parts in order to function properly. Think functional!
For everyday life … and to look good naked.
